Our Dentist

Dr. Peter Lobb

General Dentist

Dr. Lobb graduated in 1975 from the University of Alberta Faculty of Dentistry and was awarded the Alberta Dental Association Gold Medal. He practiced in Victoria with the Canadian Forces Dental Services until 1981 at CFB Esquimalt and Royal Roads Military College, and with the United Nations Emergency Force Middle East in 1978. Dr. Lobb also practiced general dentistry at the Datatech Building in Victoria until 2021, and joined the Quadra Dental Centre in 2022.

Dr. Lobb's patient care includes all aspects of general dentistry including IV sedation, hospital dentistry, and emergency dental care. He provides treatment for people with anxieties, and developmental and health challenges, and dental surgery is provided under general anesthesia at the Victoria General Hospital and Royal Jubilee Hospital.

Dr. Lobb has been a dental consultant with the Vancouver Island Cancer Centre since 1985 and serves as the Head of Oral Oncology and Dentistry for BC Cancer – Vancouver Island Centre. This involves dental care for patients needing radiation and chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, and bisphosphonate therapy.

Over the years he has served organized dentistry and the public at the local, provincial, and national levels on many boards and committees. Dr. Lobb served as President of the British Columbia Dental Association, College of Dental Surgeons of BC, and Victoria & District Dental Society. He has been recognized with a number of awards for his service including the Honorary Member Award of the BC Dental Association and Fellowships in the Pierre Fauchard Academy, International College of Dentists, and American College of Dentists.

Dr. Lobb enjoys time spent with his family of three children, their spouses, and seven grandchildren, who also live here in Victoria. Golfing, skiing, and gardening keep him busy in his leisure hours.
