At Quadra Dental Centre, we want to facilitate your dental experience. In addition to offering oral sedation, we are committed to working at your pace, taking breaks when you need them, and providing calm reassurance as required.
Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)
Nitrous oxide is inhaled through the mouth and nose. This medication can relaxes patients as they remain awake and able to communicate. It may also help to lessen anxiety, increase pain threshold, reduce gag reflex and make time pass more quickly.
Oral Sedation
Your dentist can prescribe oral sedatives in liquid or pill form. Take this medication orally about an hour before your dental appointment. While it leaves you awake for your procedure, it can produce a relaxing effect.
