At Quadra Dental Centre, the technology we use can help us to provide patients with dental care from dental lasers and digital x-rays to oral cancer screening devices.
Technologies at Our Dental Clinic
At Quadra Dental Centre, we aim to leverage technology in order to help plan treatments and ease the process of your dental appointments. Since we can display digital x-rays and scans on the monitors in our treatment rooms, we are able to show you any emerging oral health issues and guide you through your treatment plan.
We're on a mission to provide patients with dental care and inform them about their oral health. Dental technology can help us accomplish this goal.
Digital X-Rays
Instead of traditional photographic x-ray film, digital x-rays use digital sensors to produce computer images of your teeth and gums, in addition to other oral structures and conditions. These digital images can be produced in as little as a few minutes and allow your dentist to examine parts of your mouth that are not visible to the naked eye.
Panoramic X-Rays
Using panoramic x-rays, your dentist can create a single flat image of your entire mouth. This image represents your teeth, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), upper and lower jaws, and nasal and sinus structures. Our dentists typically use panoramic x-rays to help plan treatments for braces.
Soft Tissue Dental Lasers
Dental lasers (which use focused light beams) are used in a range of soft tissue procedures, typically for healing and repair purposes. They can help our dentist perform dental procedures such as lengthening crowns, reshaping gums and treating periodontal disease to maintain your smile's health and function.
iTero Digital Scanner
iTero is an intraoral digital scanner used by dentists to capture 3D dental images of the hard and soft tissues of the mouth. The iTero scanner allows our dental team to create dental models, generally used for restorative dental services such as dental veneers, crowns, and Invisalign.
