Dental Veneers, Victoria Dentist

What is a Dental Veneer?

Veneers are thin pieces of durable, tooth-shaped porcelain that are custom-made by a dental laboratory to match the shape and colour of your natural teeth.

At Quadra Dental Centre, veneers are used to change the appearance of our patients' smiles. Your dentist will bond the restoration to the front of your natural tooth to alter the shape, colour or symmetry of your smile.

Veneers

At Quadra Dental Centre, we offer porcelain veneers to help change the appearance of your smile. Dental veneers are designed to mimic the appearance and feel of your tooth's enamel.

How Veneers Work

An impression of your teeth will be taken by your dentist. This impression will be used to create your custom veneers.

Once your veneers have been made, they will be bonded to the fronts of your natural teeth.

Made from a thin piece of porcelain, veneers are custom-shaped to match your tooth (although they don't require as much reshaping as dental crowns). The porcelain imitates the natural translucency of your tooth enamel, and has an incredibly natural look and feel.

Benefits of Veneers

Whether you are aiming to change the shape of individual teeth or the evenness of your entire smile, you may want to consider dental veneers as an alternative to dental crowns.

Dental veneers are often used to help restore the appearance of crooked, discoloured or worn teeth. They can also change the size of your teeth and the spacing between teeth. If cared for properly, dental veneers may last many years and can protect the tooth's surface from further discolouration or damage.
